The Vinny Vanucchi's cuisine you have grown to love is available in Dubuque!

Growing up on Taylor Street in Chicago, Vinny Vanucchi’s co-owner Deb Coulter lived downstairs from her "Nana Lu" - the name she affectionately called her grandmother, Lucille LaCorte.

Deb remembers intense aromas emanating throughout Nana Lu's place. There was always red sauce simmering on the stove and pots of fresh basil growing around the house.

When Deb, and her husband Jack Coulter, decided to open Vinny Vanucchi's first location in Galena, Illinois, Nana Lu's recipes were the foundation for the menu. Deb spent hours in the kitchen - doubling, tripling, and even quadrupling the family recipes. She relied on her rich collection of memories to get the flavor just right for each and every Italian dish she enjoyed while growing up on Taylor Street in Chicago's Little Italy.

Deb followed her grandmother's advice to always cook with fresh ingredients and she made sure the Vinny's culinary staff knew that Nana Lu never froze any of her dishes and that Vinny's wouldn't either.

So whether it's Nana Lu's Meat Lasagna, Uncle Paulie's Baked Penne or any pasta bowl or house specialty, while dining at Vinny Vanucchi's you are guaranteed a delicious "Taste of the Old Neighborhood."
